Ravi Chary CROSSING marks Sitar virtuoso Pt. Ravi Chary’s initiation in the genre of Indo-Jazz Fusion, after having established himself as a sitarist of international repute – performing the world over at the biggest Music Festivals with some of the best International and Indian musicians. The GIMA nominated band, also featuring 4 of the finest young musicians – Gino Banks [Drums], Satyajit Talwalkar [Tabla], Sheldon D’silva [Bass] & Sangeet Haldipur [Keyboards], makes music that is a blend of traditional Indian and Western Jazz.

Brainchild of Ravi Chary, the Band was officially inducted in the genre of World Music by the pioneering artiste – Ustad Zakir Hussain, when he christened the band and launched their debut album. The absence of lyrics accentuates the complex yet easy-going style of music. The result is a fusion of intense breath-taking melody.
